President's Message

Thank you for visiting the Colusa County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association website. Our primary mission as a labor organization is the advancement of our member’s wages, benefits, working conditions, and legal defense fund. Our association feels this directly affects our communities because of the direct impact our members have in the lives of the citizens of Colusa County.

The advancement of wages, benefits, and working conditions is the primary tool to recruit and retain the highest qualified candidates as employees. Historically, Colusa County struggles to compete with surrounding agencies offering larger salaries and benefits.

Our members operate the jail and courthouses to the patrol deputies who arrest the drug dealers, murderers, child molesters, and domestic violence suspects. Our membership is also comprised of probation officers, correctional officers, and district attorney investigators. Our members also hold positions such as tactical team members, gang unit members, community policing deputies, boat deputies, detectives, narcotic enforcement teams, 911 dispatchers, support services, coroner division, and animal control.

These brave men and women put their lives on the line daily for our citizens. Please feel free to contact our members and share any thoughts or concerns you may have. Team work between our members and you is vitally important for safe communities.

Sincerely,

Tony Garofalo, President
Colusa County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association
